Hello, I am a interested in building my first fixed gear commuter. I want to build something that is my own, maybe with a little "personality". I honestly don't know a whole lot about road bikes as I am a mountain biker.
I was hoping that some of you could give some info/tips on building up a fixer. Also, I would like to know some of your thoughts on buying a used bike frame, (brands, sizes , average prices etc.). I will more than likely be buying a used one as money is really tight, but I don't want to buy a junk frame. Ultimately I'd rather wait and save my money and buy someting nice than buy an unsafe frame.
I understand that track frames tend to work the best for fixed gears. Also I am about 5'11", how does that compute into road frame sizes. (Like I said I know very little about road bikes)
Any help would be rad, thanks.

Hello. You can give me a call at 507-382-6996
I have built a ton of single speed bikes. I don't build many fixies because the hubs/wheels are hard to come by and I'm cheap. I know I have a few frames I could help you build. I charge $70 for a build minus the bar wrap and freewheel.
My name is Beau, give me a call.
